With Needle And Thread

We met atop a hill, nestled in a park by a swiftly flowing river. The hill was bare, except for a small forest forming a crown on its peak, with tree trunks too large to put your hands around, and a pine-needle-cushioned floor. The light was rich, spilling through the leaves and throwing shapes upon the gnarled bark.

I was photographing for Holly, an incredibly talented design student with a beautiful smile and waist length hair. Her friend, Jess, modelled for us through the bitter cold, without a whisper of complaint. A beautiful young lady with a kind spirit and a sweet nature.

The garment Jess wears is of Holly's own design. A concept she dreamt up and brought to life. She based this design and drew influence from tribal society. An influence that took shape, and blossomed into this design.
